At Manning’s Feed and Seed, our people are the heartbeat of everything we do. This April, we’re proud to celebrate Slade, who has been an essential part of our team for the past 9 years—and whose impact has been felt far beyond our store walls.
9 Years of Growth Behind the Wheel
Slade’s journey with us began behind the wheel as a delivery driver. Over the years, he explored different roles throughout the store, gaining a deeper understanding of our business and the people we serve. But ultimately, he returned to what he loves most—driving.
“Driving gave me a chance to connect directly with our customers. I love being able to talk with them in-store and then show up at their farms with exactly what they need. It’s full circle—and it gives me a better perspective on how we serve.”
Why Slade Loves Manning’s
When asked what keeps him here after a decade, Slade doesn’t hesitate—it’s the people.
“It’s the customers, the employees, and the mentorship I’ve had along the way. Andy, our owner, is truly invested in all of us. He leads with vision and heart—and being part of that has made all the difference.”
That sense of community and shared purpose continues to inspire Slade, who’s looking forward to the future of our delivery service:
