Employee Spotlight: Meet Kie! A Valued Member of the Manning’s Feed and Seed Family Since 2008

If you’ve ever walked into Manning’s Feed and Seed and been greeted with expert advice and a friendly smile, there’s a good chance you’ve met Kie. Since 2008, Kie has been a dedicated part of the Manning’s team, helping customers find exactly what they need—whether it’s feed, seed, supplies, or support.

Kie’s role covers it all: from sales to customer service, he's a jack of all trades and a go-to person for both coworkers and customers alike. “I’ve always been in the same role,” he says, “but back when I started, I was over at the Milton location and there were only a few of us running the place. We’ve grown a lot since then.”

When asked about his favorite part of working at Manning’s, Kie doesn’t hesitate: “Helping people.” And that’s exactly what he’s done for nearly two decades—offering guidance, sharing knowledge, and building lasting relationships with customers and coworkers.

One standout memory for Kie was when the Manning’s team entered a Nutrena contest and walked away with a win. “It really showed our teamwork and creativity,” he recalls proudly.

So what’s kept Kie around all these years? “It’s a good job with good people. The environment is great, and Andy’s a good boss.” He’s excited to see how Manning’s continues to grow—not just as a business, but as part of the local community. “I’d love to see us grow even more, bring on new employees, and keep helping the community thrive.”

When he’s not working, you’ll probably find Kie out on the water enjoying his favorite hobby: saltwater fishing. It’s that same calm, steady dedication he brings to the store every day.
