Fish Day is one of our most anticipated events at Mannings Feed and Seed, and we receive many of the same questions each time. Below are the most frequently asked questions to help you plan ahead and have a smooth pickup experience.

Which Manning’s Feed & Seed location will be selling the fish? The Milton, Fl location. 5493 Alabama St, Milton, FL 32570 Who supplies the fish for Fish Day?

All fish are supplied by Arkansas Pond Stockers, a trusted supplier specializing in live pond fish for stocking and pond management.

What kinds of fish will be available for sale?

The following fish will be available for purchase on Fish Day:

  • Channel Catfish

  • Fathead Minnows

  • Bluegill

  • Redear Sunfish

  • Hybrid Bluegill

  • Largemouth Bass

  • Grass Carp (permit required)

Fish are sold in set quantities based on species and size.

What day is Fish Day being held?

Fish Day will take place on February 17.

What time will the fish truck be there?

The fish truck will be on-site from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, or until the last customer in line is served.

Is it best to pre-order fish?

Yes. Pre-ordering ensures you receive the exact species and quantities you need and allows for quicker service on Fish Day.

What if I don’t place an order in time?

Walk-up purchases are allowed; however, quantities are limited and based on availability after pre-orders are filled. Once fish are sold out, no additional inventory will be available.

Do I need a permit for any fish?

A permit is required to purchase Grass Carp. Customers must have the proper permit in order to receive this species.

How will the fish be packaged?

Fish will be packaged in oxygenated bags to keep them healthy during transport.

How long can the fish stay in the bag?

Fish should be transported directly home after pickup and released into your pond as soon as possible.

How should I add the fish to my pond?

Allow the bag to float on the pond surface for several minutes to help equalize temperatures before releasing the fish.
