Spring Flock Fest is almost here, and if our phones and inbox are any sign — y’all are EXCITED for baby chicks! We’ve received tons of messages and calls from eager chicken keepers asking all about our chick arrivals, preorders, and more. To make things easy, we’ve gathered the top 8 questions we’re asked the most and put all the answers right here in this handy guide.

Our first batch of chicks arrives this Friday, March 7th, so make sure you’re ready to bring home your new flock by checking out everything you need to know below!

🐣 Frequently Asked Questions – Baby Chick Sale 2025

1. When will the chicks arrive?

The first batch of baby chicks will arrive on Friday, March 7, 2025.

2. Will chicks be available at both locations?

Yes! Baby chicks will be available at both our Milton and Pace locations. You can also find the full chick arrival schedule on our blog:👉 Spring Flock Fest Schedule

3. What time will chicks be available?

  • Milton Location: Chicks will be available for purchase starting at 8:00 AM.

  • Pace Location: Chicks will be available for purchase starting at 8:30 AM.

4. Can I pre-order baby chicks?

We do not accept pre-orders unless you’re ordering a minimum of 25 chicks of the same species — and even then, all special orders are subject to hatchery availability. If the hatchery is sold out of certain breeds, we may not be able to fulfill your request.

5. Can I pre-pay for chicks and pick them up later?

No, we do not offer pre-payment for chicks. All purchases must be made in person, and all chicks are sold on a first come, first serve basis.

6. When should I arrive to purchase chicks?

With the rising cost of eggs, we’ve seen a huge surge in interest in raising backyard chickens. Chicks tend to sell fast, especially on delivery days, so we highly recommend arriving right at opening — or even earlier!

💡 In fact, we’ve seen lines begin forming 30 to 45 minutes before the store opens, especially on the first few chick delivery days. If you want to guarantee a good selection, it’s worth arriving early!

7. Do you carry supplies for raising baby chicks?

Absolutely! We have everything you need to help your chicks thrive, including:

  • Brooder heat lamps & plates

  • Chick starter feed

  • Waterers & feeders

  • Bedding

  • Supplements & health boosters

8. How many types of chicken feed do you carry?

We stock over 40 different types of chicken feed, so you’ll always find the right option for your flock — from starter crumbles to organic feed and everything in between. 9. Is there limit on how many chicks I can purchase?

Due to high demand, we will be limiting the number of chickens each customer can purchase to 12 birds for the month of March. This isn’t a decision we made lightly, but we want to ensure everyone has a chance to bring some chicks home this season. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work hard to keep our community stocked and happy.
